Adult indoor recreation groups will need to adopt the Government of Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program in order to make use of Town of High Level facilities.
Youth indoor recreation groups can make use of Town of High Level facilities without implementing the new Restriction Exemption Program provided they adhere to a number of health measures.
Changes to facilities
R.E. Walter Aquatic Centre
Family Swims, Public Swims, Swimming Lessons, and Aqua Fit are suspended until further notice.
The pool will be closed to the public until Tuesday, Sept. 28. A new schedule will be released Thursday, Sept. 23.
Masks will be required on deck and in the change rooms and a COVID-19 symptom check must be completed upon entry.
Lane swimmers are required to maintain a three-metre distance from others at all times. Lanes must be pre-booked in 30-minute intervals.
Renters are responsible for implementing a Restriction Exemption Program for all facility bookings that exceed one family.
High Level Sports Complex
Public Skating is suspended until further notice.
All adult groups that chose to implement the Restriction Exemption Program may resume regular programming Thursday, Sept 23.
Youth Sport (minor hockey, skate club, youth shinny hockey)
Youth sports will follow current Public Health Order restrictions put in place by the Government of Alberta.
Physical distancing of two metres must be observed except for youth while engaged in physical activity.
Masks must be worn except for youth while engaged in physical activity.
Spectator attendance is restricted to one-third (1/3) Fire Code capacity. Attendees are limited to a single household or two close contacts if living alone. All spectators must remain masked and maintain two metres physical distancing from spectators outside their household or contacts.
Curling Club and Concession
Leaseholders for the Curling Club and Concession can chose to implement the Restriction Exemption Program, to continue to operate
Ice and Facility Rentals
Renters are responsible for implementing a Restriction Exemption Program for all facility bookings that exceed one family
Town Hall and Public Works Facilities
Town Hall and Public Works facilities remain open to the public where normally permitted.
Masks are required in the Town Hall and in Public Works facilities. A COVID-19 symptom check must be completed upon entry.
All room rentals are restricted to one-third (1/3) Fire Code capacity.

The Restriction Exemption Program is in effect for all adult community events such as “Art Attack.”
Youth events, such as “Teen Night,” will be restricted to one-third (1/3) Fire Code capacity. Masks must be worn during the event and adhere to two-metre physical distancing requirements.
