Description of Organization:
10005 House is an overnight shelter. The Shelter is open 7 days a week 24 hours/day.
The purpose of the shelter facility is two-fold. 1) to provide those in need with a safe, secure environment; especially during time of inclement weather and 2) to provide a point of contact for community service access to the people living on the streets of High Level.
Services Provided:
The shelter operates an Outreach Counselling Service.
The Society operates a soup kitchen from the facility.
Local businesses and/or residents can call the outreach worker if there is a problem with vagrancy or intoxication. The worker will come and pick up the individual causing the disturbance. The phone number is 780-841-8155. Call the RCMP if it is a crime related incident.
10005 House is also involved in the operation of the Food Bank.
