High Level’s Council fulfils the legislative function of the Town’s municipal government. Council is responsible for establishing public policy and direction for both short and long term.

Council meetings take place twice each month at the Town Hall and are open to the public.

The Mayor and six Council Members are elected every three years. The current Council was acclaimed on October 18, 2010. The next municipal election is in 2013.
