Public and Community Service
Deputy Mayor McAteer moved to High Level in 1981, when she fell in love with the people of the community and has never left. As an educator, she has helped raise many children as well as two of her own in High Level. The Deputy Mayor believes that Public Service is her way of contributing to and helping to make High Level the best Town it can be. Volunteering is a big part of the Deputy Mayor’s life and she is active on numerous boards and committees such as the Fox Haven Golf Course and the Spring Fling Society.

Public and Community Service
Councillor Chandler moved to High Level with his wife Robyn from Nova Scotia in 2005. As an educator, Councillor Chandler works with the Dene Tha community school teaching grades 10 and 11.
Councillor Chandler is an Officer in the Canadian Army Reserves and works extensively with the local Cadet Core 2979. He is also involved with the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion as a Sergeant at Arms. Councillor Chandler is proud to serve on Council and to call High Level home.

Public and Community Services
Councillor Ellis Forest and his wife Fran have called High Level home for over 45 years. Their family of three children and six grandchildren were born and raised in High Level. Councillor Forest is serving his fourth consecutive term on Council.
The Forest Family has owned and operated Forest Lumber for 22 years, they also owned and operated Telba Oilfield Rentals.
Amongst all of this the Forest family also farms and over the years have had hundreds of children from High Level and area visit their farm and the many different exotic and farm animals that live there.

Councillor Gladders, his wife and two children moved to High Level in 1995 and have embraced the community making High Level their home both career-wise and in community spirit. Before moving to High Level Councillor Gladders worked for provincial forestry programs in various Alberta locations. Councillor Gladders has held managerial positions in both local industry and government and now serves as the Woodlands Manager for Tolko Industries in High Level. Councillor Gladders and his wife are active on many community committees, boards and also volunteer for local sporting teams.
