PROPERTY TAX DUE DATE EXTENDED

property taxes

Property Tax Notices were mailed on April 27, 2018, to all property owners on the Tax Roll of the Town of High Level, Alberta.

If you have not received your 2018 Property Tax Notice, or if your notice contains incorrect information, please contact the Taxation Department as soon as possible at 780-821-4006 or taxes@highlevel.ca.

Please note that the Town office will be CLOSED on June 29, 2018, and July 2, 2018, due to the Canada Day statutory holiday.

The payment due date for property taxes has therefore been extended to July 3, 2018.

Payment can be made via cash, debit card, cheque, wire transfer or electronic funds transfer. Property taxes can also be paid at most financial institutions either in person or via online banking.

Mailed payments that are post-marked on or before July 3, 2018, will be deemed to have been received on time.

Property Tax Notices are deemed to have been received 7 days after they have been sent, as per s.337 of the Municipal Government Act. Therefore, failure to receive a tax notice is not a valid reason for late payment.
